O volume de vendas no comércio varejista caiu 1% no país em junho deste ano, na comparação com o mês anterior. Em maio, o setor registrou alta de 0,9%. A Pesquisa Mensal do Comércio (PMC) foi divulgada nesta quarta-feira (14) pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).
O varejo apresentou, no entanto, altas na comparação com junho do ano passado (4%), no acumulado do ano (5,2%) e no acumulado de 12 meses (3,6%).
A queda de 1% maio para junho foi puxada por redução nas atividades de hiper, supermercados, produtos alimentícios, bebidas e fumo (-2,1%), outros artigos de uso pessoal e doméstico (-1,8%), tecidos, vestuário e calçados (-0,9%) e livros, jornais, revistas e papelaria (-0,3%).
Taxas de crescimento nas outras quatro atividades, no entanto, evitaram perdas maiores para o setor. Os ramos do varejo em alta em junho, na comparação com maio, foram combustíveis e lubrificantes (0,6%), equipamentos e material para escritório, informática e comunicação (1,2%), artigos farmacêuticos, médicos, ortopédicos e de perfumaria (1,8%) e móveis e eletrodomésticos (2,6%).
A receita nominal apresentou queda de 0,1% na comparação com maio, mas avançou 9% em relação a junho de 2023, 8,3% no acumulado do ano e 5,9% no acumulado de 12 meses.
Varejo ampliado
O comércio varejista ampliado, que inclui os ramos de veículos e de materiais de construção, por sua vez, teve aumento de 0,4% em seu volume de vendas, com altas de 4,8% em materiais de construção e de 3,9% em veículos, motos, partes e peças.
O varejo ampliado também cresceu 2% na comparação com junho do ano passado, 4,3% no acumulado do ano e 3,5% no acumulado de 12 meses. Já a receita nominal teve altas de 0,8% em relação a maio, 6% na comparação com junho de 2023, 6,7% no acumulado do ano e 5,5% no acumulado de 12 meses.
