Nesta quinta-feira (26), a baía de Vitória recebeu o quarto barco do Sistema Aquaviário. Nomeado “Morro do Moreno”, a nova embarcação de dois andares tem capacidade para cerca de 110 passageiros e realizará o trajeto entre as estações de Prainha, em Vila Velha, e Praça do Papa, em Vitória.
No último mês, o Aquaviário completou um ano de funcionamento. Integrado ao Sistema Transcol por meio do Cartão GV, o modal já transportou aproximadamente 500 mil passageiros. O secretário de Estado de Mobilidade e Infraestrutura, Fábio Damasceno, destaca que a expansão do Aquaviário reflete o compromisso do Governo com a qualidade e a eficiência do transporte público.
“Em apenas um ano de operação, observamos como a população abraçou essa nova alternativa de mobilidade, evidenciando o sucesso do sistema. O Aquaviário oferece uma opção rápida e confortável, além de se tornar um importante atrativo turístico. Com a entrega desta quarta embarcação e a previsão de novas estações, estamos tornando o Aquaviário cada vez mais acessível e integrado, atendendo melhor às necessidades da nossa população”, concluiu o secretário.
O Governo do Estado planeja expandir o Sistema Aquaviário nos próximos anos, com a construção de novas estações. Em Vitória, os passageiros poderão embarcar e desembarcar em novas estações no antigo Terminal Dom Bosco, na Praça Pio XII e na Rodoviária de Vitória. Outras estações estão previstas nos municípios de Cariacica e Vila Velha, aumentando a conectividade do sistema.
