O diagnóstico de câncer de mama é um desafio que afeta não apenas a saúde física, mas também o emocional, social e financeiro de muitas mulheres. Na semana passada, a luta contra a doença ganhou mais um reforço: o Ministério da Saúde passou a indicar a realização de mamografia no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) às mulheres com idade entre 40 a 49 anos. Antes, a idade era 50 anos.
“Sem dúvida, mais um avanço que irá impactar positivamente na prevenção e no diagnóstico precoce da doença, que quando é descoberta em sua fase inicial, as chances de cura aumentam, e consequentemente o risco de mortalidade reduz”, destacou Fernanda.
Para além da prevenção, as leis brasileiras asseguram diversos direitos às mulheres diagnosticadas com câncer de mama. A advogada Fernanda Andreão Ronchi destaca os principais.

A Lei nº 12.732/2012 garante que o tratamento pelo SUS deve começar em até 60 dias após o diagnóstico confirmado de câncer.
