O Hospital Evangélico de Vila Velha (HEVV) promove neste sábado (27), a partir das 15 horas, a 13ª Caminhada de Sensibilização para a Doação de Órgãos, na orla da Praia da Costa. A iniciativa tem como propósito incentivar o diálogo entre familiares sobre o tema e esclarecer dúvidas a respeito do processo de doação.
O evento contará com a participação de médicos, funcionários do hospital, pacientes transplantados e pessoas que aguardam na fila por um órgão. Para o coordenador do centro transplantador do HEVV, Bruno Majevski, a caminhada é um espaço fundamental para aproximar a população do tema.
“Realizamos essa caminhada há mais de 10 anos para mostrar como a doação de órgãos pode salvar vidas. Durante o percurso levamos informação, desmistificamos o processo e, assim, conseguimos encorajar famílias a autorizarem a doação”, destacou.
A programação inclui aquecimento com professora de dança, atividades voltadas para as crianças e a apresentação da mascote oficial da caminhada. Durante o trajeto, um helicóptero do Núcleo de Operações e Transporte Aéreo (NOTAER) fará um sobrevoo, simbolizando o apoio da corporação.
Segundo a enfermeira Samira Sorio, integrante da Comissão Intra-Hospitalar de Doação de Órgãos e Tecidos para Transplantes (CIHDOTT) do HEVV, o trabalho do NOTAER é essencial.
“O núcleo é responsável por transportar órgãos e equipes médicas para transplantes em diversas regiões do estado com rapidez e eficiência. Esse suporte é fundamental, já que cada órgão possui um tempo limite para ser transplantado, conhecido como tempo de isquemia”, explicou.
A caminhada, que já se consolidou como um dos principais eventos de mobilização sobre o tema no Espírito Santo, reforça a importância da informação e da sensibilização para ampliar o número de doações de órgãos e salvar vidas.
